On June 30, 2020, the new factory of GTA Semiconductor Co., Ltd. in Lingang officially commenced production. This significant moment marks the transition of its specialty process production line project from the construction phase to the production and operation phase.

The GTA specialty process production line construction project has a total investment of CNY35.9 billion and is an important part of the cooperation agreement between the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and China Electronics Corporation. The project commenced construction in August 2018; the main chip fabrication building achieved structural topping out in May 2019; the equipment was moved in by December 2019; and official production of wafer fabrication commenced on March 30, 2020. The objective is to establish an 8-inch production line with a monthly capacity of 60,000 wafers and a 12-inch specialty process production line with a monthly capacity of 50,000 wafers. The products will primarily target applications in industrial control, automotive, power, energy, and related fields. The official commencement of production of this project will provide a significant boost to the integrated circuit industry in Lingang and holds strategic importance for the development of the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry in Shanghai, and even nationwide.
TG Environment, as a participating entity in the GTA project, was responsible for the works of the production wastewater treatment system. Despite the extremely tight schedule in the early stages of the project, TG Environment commenced work in an orderly manner and completed the move-in of the first piece of equipment in just 65 days, setting an industry record and securing valuable time for the overall construction of the main production facility.
During the construction, faced with challenges such as large-scale engineering, a multitude of wastewater treatment equipment, and complex piping connections, our team developed professional management and engineering plans to resolve numerous construction difficulties; based on the site conditions, overcame through a series of technical challenges; and actively sought suitable solutions to fully meet all customer requirements. Moreover, our team maintained close communication and cooperation with the owner and other participating entities. We enforced strict on-site control, achieving zero accidents and zero leaks throughout the project, and our 6S management was particularly outstanding. In two commendation activities hosted by the general contractor, our team was awarded the "Excellent Team" title, representing the highest honor. Additionally, we received the "Outstanding Project Management Team" award in a commendation event organized by the owner.

While successfully advancing all tasks within our scope of responsibility, we prioritized the client’s needs, approached every task from the user's perspective, strived for innovation, paid meticulous attention to detail, and seek perfection. By improving the hanging method of switch signs and enhancing the trench barriers, we addressed long-standing pain points common in similar engineering projects. Through modifying the installation method of liquid level pipes and adding mechanical instrument range indicators, we made daily operation and maintenance more convenient for the client. By incorporating additional warning messages and alarm categories into the SCADA interface, we assist the client in anticipating issues early and quickly locating problems. Furthermore, by adding a sludge drying system, we achieved energy savings, emission reductions, and operational cost savings.
From the outset of winning the bid, we set meeting responsibility requirements and satisfying client needs as our minimum objectives, and set ensuring stable system operation, extending service life, reducing operational costs, addressing industry-wide issues, and enhancing user convenience as our ultimate objectives. Throughout the construction process, TG Environment consistently prioritized these ultimate objectives, making relentless efforts to achieve them. Ultimately, we successfully realized all objectives and garnered high praise from the owner, supervisory entities, and the general contractor.

We will continue to uphold our professional attitude of continuous improvement, providing guidance and maintenance for all subsequent project activities to jointly ensure safe and stable operation. We are committed to living up to the trust placed in us by the owner and look forward to contributing our share to the development of China’s integrated circuit industry!
