Full Steam Ahead, Full of Vigor

Recently, TG Environment has been receiving good news in quick succession regarding its project construction

With two projects consecutively earning accolades from clients

Truly outstanding!

The two projects are:

Chengdu TI CDAT2 Project

SMIC North Fab2 P2 Huashan Project

[Chengdu TI CDAT2 Project]

In the afternoon of September 25, during the "Commendation Activity for 2 Million Accident-Free Work Hours at the Chengdu TI Packaging Testing Phase II and Ancillary Facilities Engineering Project" organized by Texas Instruments (the project owner), TG Environment and its site project team were both awarded the "Outstanding Contribution Award" by the project owner.

The Phase II Construction and Ancillary Facilities Engineering Project for the Integrated Circuit Packaging Testing Production of Texas Instruments Semiconductor Manufacturing (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Chengdu TI Project") is located in the Comprehensive Bonded Area of Chengdu Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone West District, with the total investment for this project reaching CNY1.056 billion. The project involves constructing a new packaging testing production building on the reserved land within the existing site to meet future production expansion needs. Additionally, it includes the construction of various utility facilities, such as the renovation and expansion of wastewater treatment stations, nitrogen and hydrogen mixing gas stations, purified water treatment stations and parking lots, and dining areas, as well as building a new corridor connecting the existing packaging and testing building with the newly constructed one. The total new construction area is 50,684 m2, while the renovation area totals 5,000 m2. The project commenced construction in September 2018 and was completed and handed over for use in September 2020, with a total construction duration of 24 months.

TG Environment is responsible for the CDAT2 pure water and wastewater treatment works, which include the DIW (Deionized Water) system and the IWW (Industrial Wastewater) system. The DIW system primarily employs Multi-Media Filtration (MMF), Activated Carbon Filtration (ACF), and two-pass Reverse Osmosis (2-Pass RO) for the pre-treatment process, and Mixed Bed (MB) ion exchange, Ultraviolet (UV) light treatment, Polishing Mixed Bed (PMB), and terminal filtration for the polishing process. These processes help meet the stringent pure water quality requirements of the packaging and testing facility. The IWW system primarily employs Multi-Media Filtration (MMF), Ultrafiltration (UF), and chemical coagulation and flocculation sedimentation processes to treat wastewater from Wafer Saw (WS), Backgrind (BG), and Package Saw (PS) operations. The treatment of Deflash Concentrate (DFC) is outsourced to specialized external facilities. To enhance water resource utilization and meet the owner's requirements for LEED certification in new building designs, treated wastewater from the Package Saw and Wafer Saw processes will be recycled and reused as a portion of the feedwater for the DIW system.

Working with clients like Texas Instruments (TI), an internationally leading integrated circuit company, we face stringent requirements for safety, quality, and design details. Such clients place significant emphasis on adherence to rules and procedures, as well as on space efficiency and optimal layout. Furthermore, the owner team is U.S.-based, all design and technical communications are conducted entirely in English. Through the cooperation and joint efforts of TG Environment, the general contractor, the management company, the supervisory body, and the owner, BIM technology was employed for spatial management, effectively reducing conflicts and repetitive adjustments during the design and construction processes. Through the concerted efforts of all parties involved, the established safety objectives were achieved. At the milestone of 2 million safe work hours, TG Environment was fortunate to receive recognition and affirmation from the general contractor and the owner for its safety performance. TG Environment will continue to strive and remain committed to cooperating closely with the general contractor and the owner on safety and quality management, aiming at bringing the systems into operation and production as soon as possible.

[SMIC North Fab2 P2 Huashan Project]]

On September 25, at the Awards Ceremony for the Expansion Works of Fab2 P2 Facility Huashan Tianshan Aluminum Line Project organized by SMIC North (the construction unit), the TG Environment's project team received the "Best Support & Cooperation Award"; the on-site project manager, Cao Wenhao, was honored with the title of "Outstanding Project Manager"; and the safety manager, Lin Kai, was awarded the title of "Outstanding Safety Manager".

SMIC Northern Integrated Circuit Manufacturing (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "SMIC North"), established in July 2013, is a 12-inch advanced process integrated circuit manufacturing factory jointly invested in by SMIC International and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality. This company is primarily engaged in the manufacturing of semiconductor (including silicon wafers and various compound semiconductors) integrated circuits, as well as development, design services, and technical services related to integrated circuits, photomask manufacturing, and the sale of self-produced products.

SMIC North possesses two 300 mm production lines, each with a monthly capacity of 35,000 wafers. The first production line primarily manufactures products using 40 nm and 28 nm Polysion processes. The second production line is equipped for 28 nm HKMG processes and higher technology levels. Upon reaching full capacity, SMIC North will join SMIC's Beijing facility as one of the key bases for integrated circuit manufacturing in China.

TG Environment has maintained a long-standing and excellent cooperative relationship with SMIC International. In this project, our company undertook the construction of the wastewater system engineering. During the project implementation period, the on-site project team overcame numerous challenges including tight schedules, limited construction space, extensive overlapping work areas, and delays due to the pandemic. All members of the project team consistently maintained a spirit of hard work and a responsible attitude and managed the project in strict accordance with standardized management regulations. Under the perfect cooperation of the team, they meticulously organized the implementation of the project, ensuring high-quality and timely completion of all tasks. Furthermore, they proposed corresponding solutions for adverse factors and spared no effort to advance the project, earning high praise and recognition from the owner, supervisory body, and general contractor.

Looking ahead, we will continue to focus on the industrial water treatment market. With a craftsman spirit of high standards, strict requirements, and superior quality, we will organize our professional and excellent talents and teams to create premium projects and deliver excellent services. We are committed to addressing the concerns of our clients, expanding our influence within the industry, and firmly establishing the TG Environment brand in the hearts of our clients.
