TG Environment wins the bid for the Elion Chemical Wastewater Zero Liquid Discharge BOT Project

Recently, TG Hylite Environment Technology Co., Ltd. and BJOMEX Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. jointly won the bid for the concentrated saltwater and mercury-containing wastewater treatment project of Inner Mongolia Elion Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. The project primarily employs a mixed-salt crystallization process to treat the concentrated saltwater discharged from the MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression) wastewater treatment evaporator at the front end of Elion Chemical and the mercury-containing wastewater discharged from Elion Chemical's VCM (Vinyl Chloride Monomer) facility, thereby achieving true zero emission.

Inner Mongolia Elion Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Elion Chemical") is located in Shulinzhao Town, Dalad Banner, Ordos, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Established in 2004, it is jointly established by Elion Resources Group, Shanghai Huayi (Group), and Shenhua Group. Elion Chemical adopts the biochemical+membrane treatment system+evaporation process (biochemical+UF+RO+ZLD)+evaporation pond technology to deeply treat sewage and cleaning wastewater before reusing it in production. After biochemical treatment, the domestic sewage meets the national first-class discharge standard and is then fully subjected to advanced treatment. Next, following membrane treatment, the water quality meets the requirements for makeup water in systems such as deionized water and circulating water systems. The effluents, after being treated by the aforementioned systems, are processed through an advanced zero liquid discharge (ZLD) system, achieving complete zero liquid discharge.

TG Hylite Environment Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "TG Environment"), established in 1999, is a national high-tech enterprise. TG Environment specializes in providing wastewater treatment systems, ultrapure water systems, and wastewater zero discharge systems for advanced manufacturing industries such as semiconductors and intelligent displays. It also assists clients in addressing water scarcity issues by providing advanced wastewater treatment and reuse solutions, along with optimal industrial water system solutions. For this project, a BOT cooperation model is adopted, covering the construction, ownership, and operation of the wastewater zero discharge system. Upon expiration of the concession period, the project facilities will be transferred to the client free of charge. The operation period is eight years.

The "zero liquid discharge" process for chemical wastewater is characterized by its lengthy procedure, high technical complexity, and intricate system, where any issue within any unit can impact the overall achievement of the "zero liquid discharge" objective. In response to these challenges, TG Environment has been continuously pushing the boundaries of existing technologies while actively engaging in research and innovation to address the challenges in concentrated brine treatment. TG Environment adopts integrated treatment technologies to enhance the comprehensive utilization efficiency of wastewater, ultimately realizing the "zero liquid discharge" of chemical wastewater. This significant accomplishment marks a crucial milestone in TG Environment's development strategy and lays a solid foundation for its future rapid growth.
